This book has a little twist now, although I am still skeptical on if Micah is telling the truth or still leading us on. At this point they(Micah Sarah, and Tayshawn) have been to Zach's funeral, Micah was not comfortable there at all. Tayshawn, Sarah, and Micah left in the middle of Zach's funeral and all three took each other to the places that they had shared with Zach. Each one of them told a story of something they had did with Zach that ment a lot to them or something they loved to do with Zach. I believe that they were all trying to see who knew Zach the best and/or who had the best memory of Zach. They all three ended up at the cave that ment a lot to Tayshawn and Zach. That is where they sat and talked for a while, each of them telling something about Zach and the other two asking questions because they did not know that about Zach. Then they each kissed one another out of no where. Micah does not tell exactly why at first(or the truth why it happened and how at first either). From what I gathered from the book is that Zach had several sides to him and shopwed certian sides to certian people, kind of like multiple personalities.
Micah is now "telling the truth" and saying that she has lied to us. She tells us about four "lies". Lie number one is Yayeko, the biology teacher, never explained how decomposition worked Micah wondered, looked it up and threw it in there to make things more interesting. Lie number two is that Micah kissed Sarah first instead of Sarah kissing her first. All Micah said is that while they were all talking she(Micah) wanted to so she leaned over and kissed Sarah. Lie number three is that there were never any doctors to give Micah the birth control. Micah's mother learned that the birth control can control the blood so she gets the perscription and gives it to Micah. That is dangerous in many ways but they did not want any risk of blood work leaking out the family illness so they took a chance. When they first tried the birth control Micah's parents sent her up state to the greats farm in case the birth control did not control the blood which would control the change from human to werewolf and back again. The birth control works so they have continued it. Lie number four is that Micah did not tell the police the whole truth about the last time she saw Zach alive. ( not a big suprise to me)
Micah has also told us about the family illness. Micah is a werewolf ! Like I had already mentioned the family members turn into werewoves. Not all of them though some do turn but there are some who are just carriers like her father and little brother. Micah also tells us exactly what happened to Great uncle Hillard. He is the family"dog", more like family wolf. He changed perminately when grandmother went through her menapuse. Let me explain, when female woves begin their period time each month they turn into a werewolf and any male werewolves that are around those females turn at the same time. During menapuse they both go through the change only sometimes they stay a werewolf like uncle Hillard and sometimes they stay human like grandmother.
So there is the story so far, Micah says she is telling the truth but I am not so sure I believe it all. I guess we will just have to see how the rest of the book goes. I kind of want to believe that she is trying to tell the truth because she will tell us something then right away if it is a lie she corrects it. In a way I believ Micah was telling lies in the beging because she had to tell us all that had happened with Zach and all but did not want us believing she did it from the beging. She wanted the chance to tell everything the way she wanted it to happen with out judgement and then once she got out what happened to Zach truthfully she could go back and tell us what was a lie and what was not.
