So far in the book Clay is still listening to the tapes and hurting with every word he hears. He liked Hannah so much that hearing what other people did to her just kills him inside. As he is leaving the diner he hears Tony call for him. Tony lets him know that Hannah was not joking about the second set of tapes because he was the one Hannah left the tapes with. Tony also lets Clay know that he (Clay) is the ninth person he has had to follow to make sure the tapes are being passed like instructed. Tony also tells Clay that he is on the next tape that he (Clay) is about to listen to and wants to drive him around whiles he listens. Tony lets Clay know that he needs to hear what Hannah has to say and that he will be surprised as to what she says. Hannah lets Clay know that he really does not belong on the tapes but he was such a big part of what happened next that she just had to put him in there. Hannah lets Clay know how she has wanted to talk to him for such a long time that she made sure her grades were up so she could go to the party that he was going to be at just so she could talk to him. Hannah tells Clay how she felt and connected with him as they were talking and that the kisses they shared meant a lot to her. Then she gets back into what the next person did to put that person back on the tapes a second time. She tells how Justin let one of his friends go into the room that Jessica passed out in and take advantage (basically rape) of her as she was passed out while Hannah sat in the closet helpless. The book is getting more interesting as it goes on. All the types of things that those teens did to one another effect all those around them and they are to tunnel visioned on themselves to see it until Hannah opens their eyes to what was happening to each other.

As I continue in this novel it gets better and better. Even though this is not based on a true story you would never know it because the facts that Jay Asher used are just like what lots of teens go through everyday. The book thirteen reasons why is a very good "keep you going and guessing" kind of book. As the narrator goes on he knows he is on the tapes for a reason but still at this point has not shown up on the tapes. I am on page one hundred ninety and he still is waiting to hear what he did to Hannah that made her put him on the tapes. I really like reading this book and have had people at work ask me about it and want to barrow my book when I am done. I have never really recommended a book but this one is very recommendable. Jay Asher did a very good job at capturing both sides of bullying that makes teens commit and think about suicide he captures the boys harassment and the way the girls go for the relationship aspect of bullying. I think this book should be a must read for high school juniors and seniors. The sophomore class maybe a good one as well the teacher would have to feel the maturity of the class. This book could open the eyes of a lot of teens to what really goes on in the minds of those who are being bullied or teased on a daily basis. The book may even make some teens stop being the one who bullies and turn it around to help those who are being bullied.

school year almost over
As the school year comes to an end I am ready for summer but at the same time ready for the next semester to start so I can get my degree faster. I love the summer vacation so I can spend it with my kids but I am very ready for my career to get started. Becoming a nurse has been my dream my whole life and it is getting very close and I am getting very excited. There are many reasons I want to be a nurse the main one is of coarse to help others also to support my kids without worries about my job being laid off or anything like that. I am a people person and to help those who are in dire need of someone like me to help them is just a dream come true. If there were not any nursing jobs I would be at a loss for what I would want to do with my life. I am also very proud of myself with the grades I have been getting this semester. Being a mom working at least twenty-five hours a week and having two kids along with a husband, two dogs,a cat, a bird, and a house to take care of is a lot for one person to do. I have made it through the semester with good grades and my house with all my responsibilities in it are still doing very strong and that makes me proud. there are a lot of people I work with who are amazed with me going to school. They give me kudos all the time. I really hope that there are others going to school who are just as proud of them self or at least has someone who is because it makes a difference in how the school year goes.

As the book goes on the narrator, Clay Jensen, is getting a side of each of the people that he did not think existed. Clay seems to get more mad and disappointed at each person for the things they did to Hannah. All the things that those who are before him on the tapes are heartless, selfish, and cruel. Those on the tapes so far used Hannah for one reason or another, either to get back at someone else, thought they could get somewhere with her because of a rumor, or to get her to take them where ever they wanted( used for her car). The sad part of this book is that if you were to go into any junior or high school you will see this exact same thing happening to another student. Sometimes the student does not realize it, just in denial, or is just like Hannah. The schools are either to blind to see it or just turn their head at it until something like suicide happens to do anything about it. As Clay is hearing everything that has happened to Hannah so far he can not get what he did to her to put himself on the tapes. I personally think that he is on the tapes because he did nothing to help her he was to afraid to approach her and she saw that in him. I have not gotten that far in the book yet but I think that is what is going to happen.

13 reasons why
The novel that I am reading now is called thirteen reasons why. The book is about a high schoolgirl named Hannah Baker who kills herself over a number of things that other students had done to her kind of like bulling her but not in such a harmful way like most bullies do. The acts that were committed to her were silly acts, but harmful to her. For example the two people she made friends with first because all three were new to town were part of the thirteen reasons. The girl was very fake and had to have anyone like her no matter what and she used people to her advantage. This girl's name is Courtney Crimsen she used Hannah to get a ride to a party then told some guys an untrue story to get them to talk to Hannah. There is one story about a "pepping tom" his name is Tyler Down. Hannah caught him taking pictures of her while she was in her bedroom. She caught him by asking Courtney to come over and they talked and acted like the were playing around so they could here the snap of the camera. Alex Sandall is on her list as well, he is also the boy who became her friend at first. Alex, Hannah, and Courtney all were friends at first and Courtney and Alex had a thing or at least Courtney knew Alex liked her. Any way the point of Alex being on the list was because he named Hannah best ass for the high school year book and Courtney in the not section which caused a fight between Hannah and Courtney. Not a big fight but still the fact was that Alex did it just to make Courtney mad and jealous and it worked. The boy narrating the novel is on the list I haven"t made it to his section of the tapes yet but his name is Clay Jensen. He remembers how he liked Hannah and how they made out at a party once. The thing he remembers the most is how he liked her but never had the courage to ask her out. Basically so far the novel is about a teen who kills herself because of what some fellow students put her through and she made thirteen tapes giving the reasons why and who caused the pain. There is a real life situation that just happened. A girl hung herself back in January because of nine students that harassed her everyday for several months at school and on the Internet until finally she killed herself. They harassed her for everything right down to the upper class man she had dated. Bulling people may seem to be fun at the time but when it is so bad that it makes them kill them self then it is not so fun and you can get charged with serious felonies like those student who bullied that girl. They are being charged with things such as assault and some form of manslaughter. the worst part about that situation is that the school new all about it and did nothing to intervene. I know this blog was suppose to be all about the book but I heard on the news yesterday about that poor girl and thought it was odd because I was reading a book about a girl who killed herself because of others so I thought I would related the book to a real life situation.

Spring break is now over and I believe that I spent mine very well. I made sure to get my midterm project done in plenty of time. I even got some homework for another class done ahead of the schedual. I almost got two chapters ahead but I stopped myself. Having that week off helped me get things in order for the rest of the semester and catch up on some much needed sleep. The only thing that was bad about the timing of our spring break was that my daughters is not until next week it would have been nice to take our breaks together but there is nothing I can do about that. I was very proud of myself for finishing the book" Liar" before the time was up. I am not a big reader like I said before so that was quite an accomplishment for me. I also prepared myself for the next book which I started reading last night and got to page ninty-two way past the number of pages I had set for each week. Go me! I believe I will have this book read very quickly because it is actually very interesting. The book I am going to be blogging about is called "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher. I will tell you this he got the idea for this book while in a museum listening to the lady over the intercom telling everyone about what it was they were looking at. That was a very interesting way to get an idea for a book but it worked and so far worked very well. I have also been thinking if I do get my new novel done in plenty of time and have time for another I just might read another but I am not going to get ahead of myself we will just have to see how things go. I hope everyone had a wonderful spring break like I did.

blog 7
This class is not at all difficult and that is thanks to Stephanie Scott. I took the same class in 2007 and that teacher made everything way more difficult than what is should have been. She was nothing like the few teachers out there that make a difference in students lives. I personally have had very few of those teachers - four to be exact-. I remember everyone of there names also.
My third grade teacher Mrs. Freeman was the very first. I was not the best student but in her class you would have thought I was. She made every little bit of homework the most fun possible. She was great at making projects and assignments the most understandable so every student did great. My fifth grade teacher Mrs. Sarff was also great. She was a very patient, soft spoken -except when she need t correct bad behavior-, and determined to every student. She met each and every students needs personally. My ninth grade/homeroom teacher Mrs. Renner was extremely awesome. She made everyday as interesting and understanding so everyone did well. She also took the extra time to explain anything to the fullest. Mrs. Renner did not talk down to or act like the student was stupid or ridiculous for not getting it right away. She made you feel as though you were the smartest student in the class. The way your parents make you feel smart. I remember one day she had us all dress in sheets to make it look as though we were wearing togas. This activity was to help us understand Greek Mythology and the individual gods positions. She made us act out a famous Greek feast -can not remember exactly which one now but then I did-. That was the best day ever and made us all understand everything she was teaching that day.
Now I can add Stephanie Scott to my list. I have never been a big reader, actually i did not enjoy it at all. Stephanie has shown me a way that I can read in sections and take notes while still reading the whole book at hand without getting discouraged about reading. Books, I can now face you with the will to read any that seem interesting to me. I am not saying that I am going to become a big reader but they are not out of the question like they were before.
